Members of the Alabama Brownfields Association (ALBFA) have elected Stephanie Pryor, P.E., as the association’s Vice President. Pryor is a Project Director and Senior Engineer in PPM Consultants’ Birmingham office.

“One of the things I love most about this industry is the people and the relationships we build along the way,” said Pryor. “I am looking forward to strengthening those connections and helping create more opportunities to give underutilized properties a new purpose across Alabama.”

Pryor brings more than 20 years of engineering and environmental consulting experience to ALBFA’s leadership team. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama and Mississippi. Her work covers Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental risk assessment, brownfield redevelopment, voluntary cleanup programs, remediation, regulatory compliance, and construction and geotechnical consulting. Since joining PPM in 2025, she has expanded the Birmingham office’s due diligence, assessment, remediation, and brownfields work. Most recently, she managed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Assessment Grant for the City of Montgomery. That work included the grant budget, site eligibility determinations, oversight of assessments, EPA reporting, and coordination with the city and regulators.

Before PPM, Pryor led environmental management and remediation practices for a national consulting firm. There, she developed staff, built client and regulatory relationships, grew the business, and improved environmental program performance.

Alabama Brownfields Association logoALBFA is a nonprofit that promotes brownfield redevelopment across Alabama. Its members include environmental professionals, regulators, local governments, developers, and economic development organizations who share what they know and work together to return idle properties to productive use.

Pryor continues PPM’s long involvement with the association. PPM founder Michael McCown served as ALBFA’s Vice President when the group formed in 2017.
